Most
Gypsy art falls under the Altered Art
category. I have always called it Found Art...
Because I found the materials and inspiration
in very strange places. Perhaps it is the Gypsy
Sight the enables me to see the alternative lives
these pieces could have and it is this promise of
what could be that guides my hands in the creating
of these treasures.
Poe
was one of my favorite writers buy the time I was
14. We were not called Goths back then... just crazy!
I have evolved beyond just Goth over the
last 40 years but my love of Edgar has remained.
This piece is to honor his dark genius.
The
faceted black glass heart is the center piece of
the charm bracelet. It's huge as charms go. It measures
1 3/4" across by 1 1/4 high. The charm bracelet
is 7 1/2" long. The rest of the bracelet is
composed of vintage beads, faux pearls, a black
cat with green rhinestone eyes, a tiny bell and
tiny photo charms of the man himself.
